continue looking for ways to make the brush strokes looking more organic and traditional feel, i quite like the brush stroke on the middle monster dog, it looks kinda fluid and carries the weight of the structure also, will like to explore more on that. i should choose some colour palettes to study next time, or else it quite annoying to do trial and error on colour when painting. not really satisfy with this color scheme but it will have to do for now XD

like the title said, the sigil are made of combining letters of the nickname i used online.. testing out a more painter-like strokes in photoshop..

The Yearning...

i found that my previous artworks are too direct and flashy, so this piece is basically me trying to do something more subtle i guess, started looking for stuff that I like and was practising drawing some interesting rock formation inspire from LOTR. the colouring I studied some old master's paintings, but the end result is still not like the natural colours tat they created, was tempted to draw some creatures at the sky but the little star just seems more meaningful and allows more space for imagination i hope...

First artwork in new year!

First artwork in 2012, title is "tiamat", it's a design I do for my comic storyline. still unsure of the overall style so did this to test the result. i want it to be abit mythologic in a tibetian sort of way, lots of things still in progress, i think will do more cg artwork based on that first... :)
